9 months!

IMG_1057  9 months in, 9 months out. Miss Malia has been with us for 18 months now and what a blessing she is.  At her appointment today, her pediatrician even said, “Well, she’s got quite the personality already!” I know that this little girl is going be quite the little sassy pants….but she will still melt our hearts with that cute little dimpled smile.
Stats:
21lbs, 3oz. (90-95th percentile)
28 inches long (95th percentile)

Latest and greatest:

*Still exclusively breastfed and nursing every 4 hours….even through the night….every 4 hours (SHOOT ME!)

*Just started on table foods and is doing great!

*Wearing 12-18 month clothing.

*Claps and waves hello

*Says, “Dada and Nana”

*Loves to scream. Loves it.

*In her big-girl carseat (GOODBYE INFANT CARSEAT!)

*Loves having her nose aspirated. Weirdo!

Seahawks babe!

One of Malia’s Christmas gifts this year was this super cute Seahawks outfit. She got it from the Seahawks #1 fan, my step-brother Tyson and his wife, Chi.

I had to share how adorable Malia looks in it!

Christmas 2011

I’m late in my delivery of photos, I know this. Most of the blogs I follow posted photos the next day, maybe even the next week. Not me.  For the first time in my life I can’t keep up – it’s something I am working on….or maybe I’m not.  My new years resolution (or one of them at least) is to live in the present. And if that means I can’t keep up on my blog or facebook – so be it. I need to spend more time with my kids and with my family. Everything can change at the blink of an eye, and I don’t want to ever wonder – what if I would have spent more quality time, instead of updating my blog……like I said, I’m working on it.

Christmas this year was a whirlwind. It came and went faster than ever. And although we had a great time with family, it just went by TOO FAST. I honestly feel like this year, I was pulled in every which direction. Believe me when I say that I know I am truly blessed. We have so many family members that want to spend time with us – I wouldn’t trade that for the world. But especially with 2 kids – I felt like I never got to sit down and just appreciate Christmas. At one point on Christmas day, Shane and I got 15 minutes of time to each other….15 MINUTES! We just held each other close…..and wished each other a Merry Christmas. Then one kid woke up from their nap…and then next.

Following Christmas Day, the next day we drove over to Eastern Washington to visit my dad, step-mom, step-siblings and their kids.  My step-bro, Tyson and his wife Chi have 2 kids that are the same ages as our kids (Blake was born 4 days before Malia). So it was nice for our kids to have buddies to play with.
