Before/After : Hot Yoga

As most of you may know, I am a AVID Hot Yogi. I started practicing Hot Yoga on August 23, 2011 (see HERE) and I promised I would update with my results in a few months.  Well I never updated, obviously, and my reasons were silly.  I don't know why, but I got really embarrassed by my results; I got embarrassed by how fast I got amazing results.  After a few months of doing hot yoga, my body was in really great shape, my body was toned, sculpted and almost unrecognizable. I felt like if I posted I would be giving false hope to people - I almost felt like a freak of nature.  By January, when we went to Cabo I felt like my body was better than it was pre-baby....pre-wedding, and that made me a little uncomfortable as I know so many women that struggle with their weight/body.

I am now in a place where I feel comfortable posting pictures because I want to be an inspiration. After a year of practicing Hot Yoga, I can now show that it IS possible to obtain the results you desire. It is possible to be a mother of 2, work part-time, be a full-time housewife with a husband that travels out of state every other week and still have a work out regime that provides results. 

Although I try really hard (summer has been BRUTAL) I do my best to practice Hot Yoga 3 times a week.  I choose Power Hot Yoga on Tuesday and Thursdays at 8:15pm and I do a weekend Hatha class either Saturday or Sunday at 8am.  I like switching it up by taking different classes because each class truly takes you to a different level mind & body. Power is very fast and fluid and I really have to push myself to make it through each and every class. Hatha is more peaceful to me, it allows me to dig deep and force my body to do things it doesn't normally do.  With each class, I walk out feeling regenerated, encouraged and luckily, 10lbs lighter.  I can't tell enough people about yoga and how it has changed my life. I feel like a new person, and a person I enjoy being around.

I was so scared to post pictures of myself - especially one of me in my undies (what was I thinking -  could I not get one of me in my bikini?!?!?).

New Blog!

So you may have noticed I have a new blog design - and I absolutely love it.  It wasn't my idea, it was the brains/skill/mad talent of my pal, Ashley, over at http://www.lifeasashlet.com/.  She made me do it, she pulled my arm and told me I needed some new "life" in my blog. I agree - my blog has been mundane for quite some time - it needed a new updo and I'm so glad I handed it over to Ashley.

So much has been going on in our lives, I started to feel like there was almost too much to blog about, so why even bother (isn't this how we all feel sometimes with almost everything in life). We get so far behind, what's the use?  Who even cares?  Does anyone even want to know how we are doing?  No matter what my reasoning for not keeping up, I promised myself that when I started this blog I would use it as a baby book for the kids, the memory hoarder for myself and a hub I can use to look back on and remember the times that I soon forget. I need to get on it, and my followers (if there are any left) will keep me accountable.

Along with fun times with my family, the kids - I have stuff to share regarding our family diet, my workouts, us moving/getting out of our house and our future family planning.  So hopefully, if I have readers still - I can continue to entertain.
