July 22, 2012 – Jackson turned 3 years old. He got a balance bike from Mama & Daddy and was spoiled ALL DAY LONG. I struggled with throwing Jackson a birthday party this year – and I am so happy I made the right decision to do so. We made his first birthday such a big deal (ahem $$$$), that I told myself after that party, he wouldn’t have another party until his 5th birthday; just family celebrations. Well in the last 2 years, Jackson has gone to several of his friends’ birthday parties, and I started to feel guilty – he DOES deserve to celebrate with his friends. He deserves to open gifts, eat cake and laugh uncontrollably. So we decided to have a party for him – at Little Gym. We followed the party with another celebration with family at Nana & Papa’s house. The day was perfect and it’s probably the happiest I have ever seen my baby boy.
Happy 3rd birthday Jackson – we love you more today, than yesterday!
It’s BIG BOY bike time!
Eating his favorite breakfast, chocolate chip Mickey Mouse pancakes and LOTS of bacon!
He looks so big here, like he’s 5. Growing up way too fast!
Jackson’s nana made his outfit, and then Shane asked me the morning of to make him one too. Malia and I felt left out…..so I whipped up a couple more.
First friend to arrive, Taya. Jackson was so happy she came, he couldn’t stop hugging her. I hope he never forgets how lucky he is to have such great friends!
Someone hit a wall while opening presents. It’s hard work!
This was my labor of love, this cake.
The Manahan’s got Jackson a swim outfit (shorts and rash guard) which I can’t keep Jackson out of at home. I have to hide them or he will wear them every single day. Within seconds of opening this gift, Jackson stripped down and begged to wear them……the whole room was laughing!
