Pumpkin Patch 2010

Although a little later this year, we decided to hit up the Craven Farms this past weekend to take advantage of the beautiful weather and fun family times.  The whole damn fam was there again, minus a few characters – and a few added ones.

Shane and I can’t even begin to believe how blessed we are to have such a fun and happy family (on both sides).  And where do I even start with the fun Jackson had this year….

First, we couldn’t even get to the pumpkins because Jackson was obsessed with you know what…..wheels!  The kid had to stop at EVERY wagon, every wheel barrel and every tractor to inspect the wheels.  Once he saw the HUGE tractor that pulled the hay rides – he was completely focused on touching it.

We finally got him over to the pumpkin patch and he was off…..and RUNNING.  He could not get enough dirt, mud and pumpkin guts in his hands. He wanted NOTHING to do with us, the camera or the pumpkins – just his dirt. He is such a boy. After awhile, Shane and I just let him go. Head to toe covered in dirt.

We ended the day with going back to the Makanani’s house to carve pumpkins and have a casserole cook-off.  The food was amazing and the company was even better – what better way to kick off the holiday season.
